The National Weather Service in Knoxville reported heavy fog this morning, with visibility down to 0.15 miles. Humidity is at 100%, with temperatures around 72°F (22°C). The day ahead is expected to bring heat and a slight chance of rain.

This afternoon, there’s a 20 percent chance of showers and storms after 3 p.m. Temperatures will reach about 91°F, with the heat index pushing into the upper 90s.

The NWS says the hot weather will continue through the week, with highs in the low to mid-90s and lows in the low 70s. Light winds and little change in conditions mean Knoxville will stay hot and dry…
