KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A Central High School student was arrested after a gun was found at the school.
The Knoxville Police Department posted that the gun was reported stolen out of Knox County. KPD said it was found in the student’s possession after an administrative stop and search of the students.
Grainger High School student arrested after threat investigation
Central High School was placed on a medium lockdown for a short time due to the incident. This lockdown has been lifted. A KPD School Resource Office and Knox County School Security Officers assisted with the arrest and firearm recovery.
The charges against the student were not shared by KPD. This is also the first student arrest reported for Knox County Schools this school year…
