KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. — Knox County Trustee Justin Biggs was questioned Monday by finance committee members on the use of county pickup trucks that were central to a state investigation.

Biggs told committee members his office’s leased Chevrolet Silverado trucks are still being used–and that GPS data of that use is being closely monitored. However, data obtained by WBIR 10News showed several trucks have sat idle for over a month.

Questions have been raised for years about Biggs’ desire to lease six Chevrolet Silverados for what he said was trustee’s office work. County staff cautioned him they were “expensive,” an email showed, costing more than some other leased county vehicles…
