University of Tennessee professor receives grant for HIV research

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Research on an enhanced treatments for HIV will be conducted at the University of Tennessee, thanks to a grant from the National Institutes of Health.

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center said Dr. Ted Cory will work with Dr. Santosh Kumar to use a $154,000 grant to research how to improve antiretroviral dugs, which are typically used to treat people with HIV.
