Knoxville entrepreneur’s seasoning business expands nationwide and globally

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — James “Boo” Jackson started both of his businesses out of his college dorm.

K-Town Krack, a chicken seasoning, was born out of him making a custom mix of spices that he sold. Chick N Sack, a food truck, started with him selling plates to make extra cash. Then, he sold the seasoning of out of his garage and now it’s sold at his food truck and in stores.

“My father had a job relocation in Knoxville, Tennessee, I decided to open up a bar restaurant on Cumberland Avenue,” Jackson said. “That’s where the flavors and the and the and the spices and the food kind of took off.”…
