KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — It has been nearly 18 years since 27-year-old Christina Stoddard disappeared from a store in Knoxville, and investigators are still not sure why she went missing.
The last time Christina Kelly Stoddard’s father saw her, she was at the Walmart in the 6700 block of Clinton Highway on October 26, 2007, around 12:30 p.m. She was reported missing just a few days later on October 30, 2007. Since then, none of her friends have been able to reach her, her case profile with the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System states.

In 2021, the Knoxville Police Department asked the public for tips, hoping that people with information about her disappearance would be willing to share it after 14 years. A spokesperson with the Knoxville Police Department told 6 News that unfortunately, there have not been any developments in the case or information that was gathered after the release in 2021. Still, the investigation is active and ongoing, he added.
According to Knoxville Police, it is unknown what caused Stoddard’s disappearance, although in 2021, the department said that even though there was not definitive evidence indicating foul play, her extended absence was “at a minimum cause for suspicion.”
When Stoddard was last seen, she had brown hair and brown eyes, was about 5’3″ tall and weighed about 120 pounds. She also often went by the nickname “Shelba” and had a homemade tattoo of a skull on her left bicep…
