KNOX COUNTY — A Lenoir City man has pleaded guilty to selling methamphetamine while he was on bond for a separate, federal case prosecutors said.
On Thursday, Knox County District Attorney General Charme Allen’s office announced that William Curtis Crew, 43, pleaded guilty to possession with the intent to sell methamphetamine and sale of methamphetamine. Crew was sentenced to serve 20 years in prison.

During the plea hearing that on February 6, 2024, a deputy with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office was on patrol near the Country Inn and Suites on Cross Park Drive when he spotted Crew in a parked vehicle. When the deputy approached the vehicle, he smelled marijuana.
The prosecution said Crew told the deputy that he was on federal supervised release for a narcotics offense and that someone had smoked marijuana in the car. The deputy searched the vehicle, finding a burnt marijuana cigarette, 12 grams of methamphetamine, and baggies used for selling meth…
