BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is investigating after the body of a Maryville man was found and recovered from Fort Loudoun Lake Friday morning.
The TWRA said wildlife officers responded to the report of a possible drowning near the mouth of George’s Creek around 11:18 a.m. Friday. When they arrived, they found a man floating face down in the water with an unmanned vessel circling nearby.

The victim was recovered by the Blount County Rescue Squad, while wildlife officers brought the boat, a Ranger bass boat, to a stop.
The victim was taken to UT Medical Center in Knoxville, where he was pronounced dead. He was identified by TWRA as Terry Alexander, 63, of Maryville.
