Joey Aguilar flies up the QB rankings after putting on a show vs. Georgia

It didn’t take long, but the rest of the country is starting to take notice of what Tennessee footballquarterback Joey Aguilar can get done with the ball in his hands. This past weekend in the devastating loss to Georgia, Aguilar was brilliant.

Through the air, he tossed for 371 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. Aguilar added a rushing score, giving him five total TDs for the day. His Heisman odds are on the rise and he’s also seeing a nice boost in the quarterback rankings.

At this time last week, Aguilar was ranked the No. 37 quarterback in the country according to CBS Sports. However, that’s changed in a big way following Week 3, as CBS now has him slotted in at No. 14. While we think he should be higher, No. 14 is nothing to sneeze at.
