KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A Central High School parent is facing an assault charge after police say she threw a chair during a meeting, according to the Knoxville Police Department.
A KPD spokesperson told 6 News that the parent was in an administrative office Thursday afternoon due to a fight involving students.

During this meeting, the spokesperson said the parent threw a chair and reportedly punched a second school staff member. KPD added that the chair hit a teacher in the room. Both staff members sustained minor injuries, according to the spokesperson.
