KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A suspect has been arrested in a Knoxville stabbing that left a woman dead on Friday.
Knoxville police officers responded to the 300 block of Ben Hur Avenue around 3:00 p.m. where a woman was found with multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. A police spokesperson announced just after 6 p.m. that the victim died from injuries.

Responding officers detained a suspect on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue a short distance from the scene. Trevon Blair, 27, is being charged with second-degree murder. Police said that the suspect is the victim’s son.
