KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Knox Pride has canceled its 2025 Pride Fest and Parade in downtown Knoxville just days before it was supposed to take place.
The free festival was scheduled to happen on October 3 and 4. In a video message on Facebook, John Camp, Knox Pride’s executive director, said the annual event had to be canceled because the organization was unable to secure liability insurance at the last minute.
“I know that this is disheartening, disappointing, and upsetting for a lot of folks. It’s extremely upsetting for us, and nothing we wanted to come with to talk to you about today, but we are where we are at the moment, and we will work to have a solution for 2026 so we don’t run into this problem again,” Camp said…
