CLINTON, Tenn. (WATE) — An Oak Ridge man who was convicted of attempted voluntary manslaughter after shooting at a woman in July 2023 has been sentenced to more than four decades in prison.
Seventh Judicial District Attorney General Dave Clark’s office announced on Tuesday that Kevin Dewayne Steen, Sr., 60, was sentenced to serve 48 years in the Tennessee Department of Correction.

After a weeklong trial in June, he was convicted of attempted voluntary manslaughter, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence, and drug charges. Following the conviction, Clark said Steen shot at a woman after an argument in July 2023.
During the sentencing hearing the prosecutor argued for Steen to be given the maximum sentence with consecutive sentencing.
