ANDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — In Anderson County, leaders at the sheriff’s office launched a new program they hope will give people being held in jail a second chance.
Anderson County Sheriff Russell Barker said the work release program has been in the works for about a decade, with the dream finally turning to reality in 2025.
Now, seven people who are incarcerated at the jail work full-time jobs at Dealer’s Warehouse. The goal is to help them earn enough money to repay court costs while also helping them prepare for the future…
