As per WVLT News, 67-year-old Charles Williams has been charged with felony reckless endangerment involving a deadly weapon. The confrontation stemmed from a sequence of road altercations, which concluded with Williams allegedly firing a shot at a Dodge Ram truck.
The sequence of events unfolded on a Wednesday afternoon near the area of Callahan Drive and Old Callahan Drive. According to court records reported by WBIR, the truck had been tailgating Williams but did not make contact with his vehicle. The situation escalated when an object, which Williams claimed made him fear for his life, was purportedly thrown at his car by the truck’s occupants.
After this escalation, Williams told the police that he pursued the truck to the intersection of Callahan Drive and Old Callahan Drive, where he exited his vehicle and fired a round when both vehicles stopped at a red light.
