Knox Co. Sheriff’s Office closing Turkey Creek precinct, seeking new ‘affordable’ space

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office announced that its west precinct in Turkey Creek is scheduled to close on October 10.

The office said that it lost the lease for the facility and is searching for a new location that it can afford and that is within its budget.

“The Landlord was gracious and only charged a nominal fee for several years. A business offered a fair market value, and the landlord provided an alternative space; however, due to a lack of capital, we were unable to undertake the necessary renovations. We want to emphasize that the landlord has been excellent,” wrote Kimberly Glenn, a KCSO spokesperson, in a statement to 6 News.
