Knoxville mom says TennCare free diaper program is a lifesaver as program hits one year

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — When you are on a tight budget, anything free makes a difference.

Just ask a mom about the benefits of the TennCare free diaper program, that’s been in place for a year now. Tennessee is the first state to offer free diapers through Medicaid, and Tenncare leaders say it’s just the start.

“We have now served over 75,000 children, and we’ve dispensed over 37 million diapers through this process.
