Brickonomicon brings LEGO enthusiasts to Knoxville area

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – LEGO enthusiasts arrived in the Knoxville area for the third annual Brickonomicon on Friday.

Underwhelmed by the pop culture convention offerings presented to East Tennessee, local entrepreneurs Pat Burnett and Mike Hermann teamed up to create Brickonomicon, a celebration of LEGO and all things pop culture.

“I think every kid’s into LEGO in some capacity throughout their lives, whether they got sets or just a bucket of bricks,” said Burnett. “You can use your imagination and do whatever you want. I think having a toy that can unleash that imagination, especially in kids, which we see a lot of at my shop, it’s probably one of the best things to see.”…
