‘Feels like we’re playing with fire’ | Anderson County leaders looking for ways to make busy highway safer for middle school students

ROCKY TOP, Tenn. (WVLT) – Safety is a big top of mind for some Anderson County leaders.

Officials said they see middle school students walking along a busy 25W in Rocky Top to get to class at Lake City Middle School.

Currently, there’s no shoulder for students to walk on – just grass and road. County leaders are looking to change this as soon as possible…
