KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A police chase led to a drug bust in West Knoxville Tuesday, according to an incident report obtained by WVLT News.
It happened around 10 p.m., according to the report, at 1338 Gatewood Lane. The report said a previous police chase — which took officers down Pellissippi Parkway — had led to the arrests of 27-year-old Barry Sherrell, of Detroit and 26-year-old Chirest Stinson, who lives in Knoxville.
The report said officers found 16 grams of methamphetamine, 26 grams of fentanyl, two grams of marijuana, three cell phones and more than $800 in cash after the chase. That’s what prompted the Knox County Sheriff’s Office’s narcotics unit to execute a search warrant on the home…
