KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The former drug chief for the Knox County Sheriff’s Office will be sentenced Feb. 2 after admitting, among other things, to abusing a narcotics fund and a drug unit credit card to buy thousands of dollars of items for personal use.
U.S. District Court Judge Thomas A. Varlan on Thursday set sentencing for David Henderson after Henderson pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud a federal program.
Under a plea agreement he reached with the government, Henderson will get credit for the months he previously spent at a federal facility while undergoing a mental competency evaluation. And under the agreement, Henderson would spend a year on supervised release…
