OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (WATE) — An Oak Ridge man who was charged last week is now facing a murder charge after the victim of an assault, who was his mother, succumbed to her injuries.
Oak Ridge Police announced on Friday that Jacob Paul Yugo, 34, of Oak Ridge, is facing charges of first-degree murder, aggravated assault, and tampering with evidence, stemming from a deadly assault that happened on October 10.

Just after 4 p.m. that day, officers responded to a call on East Newkik Lane. There, they found a woman suffering from life-threatening injuries. She was taken to an area hospital, but died from her injuries on the evening of Thursday, October 15, according to police.
