Radiant to Build $280M Nuclear Generator Factory in Tennessee

World’s First for Mass Production

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (October 17, 2025) – Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter, and Radiant officials today announced that the company will invest $280 million to establish a new nuclear generator manufacturing and R&D facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

The project marks a major milestone in global clean energy innovation, as Radiant will develop and mass-produce the world’s first one-megawatt portable nuclear generator, known as the Kaleidos. Once operational, the Oak Ridge facility will create 175 new jobs in Roane County, supporting Radiant’s mission to deliver resilient, portable power for military bases, remote communities, and disaster-relief operations…
