KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – This week marked the one-year anniversary of the death of Savannah Copeland. The 13-year-old Powell girl was killed in the Broadacres neighborhood Oct. 22, 2024, and her death shocked the area.
Copeland went to Powell Middle School. Her family said she enjoyed gymnastics and cheerleading there, hoping to study anthropology at the University of Tennessee.
