DALLAS (KNWA/KFTA) – Less than a month after Chili’s ditched the skillet queso, a longtime mainstay on its menu, the restaurant chain posted three words: “Justice is coming.”
A day after teasing an announcement about the possible return of the skillet queso, the Dallas-based chain confirmed it would be coming back.
Chili’s said in an X post on Monday, “OKAY WE HEAR YOU and we hate when y’all are mad at us. We’re working on bringing Skillet Queso back to Chili’s very soon. Stay tuned for a date.”

An Instagram post with the same caption included a photo of the skillet queso with “We tried to killet, but you love the skillet” on it.
On Oct. 2, Chili’s announced it would be axing its Beef Skillet Queso and White Queso and replacing them with a new Southwestern Queso, after learning the skillet quesos accounted for less than 1% of sales. Chili’s did mention that chips and salsa would remain untouched, however…
