You might hear public warning sirens in Oak Ridge next week. Here’s why

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Officials will be performing preventive maintenance on the public warning siren system in the Oak Ridge area throughout the week of Nov. 3, according to Y-12 National Security Complex officials.

Throughout the week, people in the area may occasionally hear audio from individual sirens in the vicinity of the Y-12.
