Carter County Mayor Patty Woodby receives 2025 Outstanding County Official Award

The Tennessee County Services Association (TCSA) recognized Carter County Mayor Patty Woodby as the 2025 Robert M. Wormsley Outstanding County Official of the Year at its annual awards banquet on Oct. 9 in Knoxville.

The award honors a county leader whose integrity, innovation and commitment to service embody the spirit of Bob Wormsley, longtime TCSA director and champion of Tennessee’s local governments.

A lifelong public servant and community advocate, Mayor Woodby was first elected to the Carter County Commission in 2018 and has since earned a reputation as a forward-thinking leader dedicated to improving lives across Northeast Tennessee. Her leadership has helped advance transformative projects like the Northeast Tennessee Regional Recovery Center, which provides treatment and second chances for those battling addiction, and the Carter County Higher Education Campus, a collaborative effort that will expand technical and higher education opportunities for students throughout the region once it opens in 2026…
