Oklahoma man faces charge after endoscopes stolen from East Tennessee hospital

MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — An Oklahoma man faces charges after the Maryville Police Department say he stole medical equipment from an East Tennessee hospital.

Troy Bowen was charged with theft of property over $250,000. According to the affidavit, he stole endoscopes from Prisma Health Blount Memorial Hospital in May 2025. The affidavit claims that he then sold the scopes to a medical refurbishment company.

Bowen was arrested in August and his bail set at $250,000. His case was bound over to a grand jury after a preliminary hearing on Oct. 31.
