KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A driver was seriously injured after their vehicle went off the roadway on Tazewell Pike near Clapps Chapel Road in Corryton.
Rural Metro shared that a single vehicle crashed off the road near a utility company’s sewage pond around 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 3. Crews assessed the occupant and set up a rope hauling system to safely get them into the waiting ambulance. The driver was taken to a nearby trauma center with what appeared to be serious injuries, according to Rural Metro.
