KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — As some East Tennessee families continue adjusting to changes in SNAP benefits, organizers at Knox Pride said the community is stepping up to ensure neighbors don’t face food insecurity alone.
The Knox Pride Community Resource Center has grown into one of the city’s largest food distributors, offering free groceries, hygiene products, and clothing with no paperwork or eligibility requirements.
Executive Director John Camp said the pantry has already distributed more than 122,000 pounds of food this year alone.
