KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — On a list of places to move, Knoxville seems to be climbing higher and higher on that list. A new moveBuddha report said that Knoxville will have the highest in-to-out move ratio in 2026, with 1.61 more people coming in for every person moving out.
“There’s a lot of people moving here and we have seen some of that growth, especially in Hardin Valley and West Knoxville,” Kevin Heaslip, Director of the Center for Transportation Research at the University of Tennessee, said. “These are things that are already happening, and they will continue to happen, and we’ll be ready for it because we have a plan to do it.”
The New York Post reported that Knoxville trailed Savannah, Georgia, in top relocation destinations. Heaslip said that Knoxville is in good shape to deal with more people coming in, and a lot of that has to do with the influx of people post-COVID…
