Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run in Knox County, sheriff’s office seeking tips

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run that happened early Tuesday morning.

KCSO said officers responded to the 3400 block of Maryville Pike at 12:34 a.m. because of a call that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.

When deputies arrived, they determined that victim at the scene was dead, and the vehicle that struck them left the area before deputies arrived.

KCSO detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has information about the vehicle or driver involved to contact the KCSO Teleserve Unit at 865-215-2243.
