Gunshot fired into Knoxville home hit ‘just above’ sleeping child, police report says

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – One of the rounds that Knoxville police have accused 23-year-old Tristan Weatherspoon of shooting into a home on Fair Drive hit “just above” a couch where a child was sleeping, according to a police report obtained by WVLT News.

The shooting happened Tuesday around midnight. An officer with the Knoxville Police Department got to the scene, the report said, after a caller said between five and seven rounds had been fired.

Once on seen, a witness, who lived in the building, told the officer that Weatherspoon had come by the home and learned that a man who had slashed his tires days before lived there…
