A Maryville man has been charged with attempted criminal homicide after allegedly beating a man and stealing his car.
Maryville Police Chief Tony Crisp said the male victim was doing his laundry on Nov. 20 at a laundromat when John Franklin Pollock, 49, no address, struck up a conversation with him.
The two went outside to smoke a cigarette, and that’s when Pollock attacked, allegedly beating the victim and dragging him behind the laundromat into a wooded area, where he continued the attack…
