KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A Knoxville man faces charges after his neighbors said he threatened them, then shot a gun after one neighbor complained about the noise of his fireworks, court records said.
According to court records, Mitthas Daughtery was setting off fireworks in the front yard of a home on Terry Drive Saturday night when a neighbor confronted him, the neighbor later told law enforcement. The neighbor told Daughtery not to set off fireworks in the neighborhood, and Daughtery became angry, threatening to harm him, the neighbor said.

The neighbor returned to his home and called law enforcement. He said he saw Daughtery pacing up and down the road in front of his house with a gun in his hand, threatening to kill and harm the neighbor and another victim, they said. Daughtery then returned to his own yard and fired the gun in an unknown direction, court records said.
When law enforcement officers arrived, they found Daughtery yelling very loudly. They made a “tactical approach” and then detained him. He smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech, court records said…
