Girl Scouts deliver BarkBoxes to Knoxville shelter dogs

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians delivered “BarkBoxes” to Young Williams Animal Center for shelter dogs on Wednesday.

The scouts dropped off boxes containing treats, patches and toys, specifically a stuffed marshmallow stick. They have been selling them as part of an annual fundraiser.

Girl Scout Evelyn Price said she wanted to make sure the dogs had something to do while they waited to be adopted.
