Loudon County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee has just sent off two of its most esteemed officers on a well-deserved retirement – not your typical officers, though, but the four-legged, tail-wagging kind. K-9 Deja-Vu and K-9 Kora have ended their tours of duty, their keen senses and unfaltering service emblematic of a partnership between man, beast, and community that extends far beyond the mere call of duty.

After the loss of Sergeant Chris Jenkins in 2022, his legacy was carried forward by his son, Sergeant Clay Jenkins, who took the mantle as Deja-Vu’s handler. The pair is lauded for embodying the tenets of honor and family, and the kind of steadfast dedication that forms the backbone of the community’s trust in law enforcement.
