KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Knox County Farm Bureau Women’s Group partnered with Star Construction to promote and educate about forestry by providing families in need with a Christmas tree.
The groups hosted their fourth annual Christmas tree giveaway and provided 100 trees from a farm in North Carolina on Saturday morning.
“We are a group with the Farm Bureau Federation, and each county has a women’s group where we advocate, communicate, and educate about agriculture,” said Pamela Stoutt, the chair of the women’s group of the Farm Bureau. “Advocating, communicating and educating about agriculture is important because a lot of people aren’t familiar with where their food source comes from.”…
