KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A longtime Westland Drive resident is raising concerns about safety along the narrow, winding road as traffic in the area continues to grow.
Betty McKeehan said she has lived in her home on Westland Drive for 40 years and has watched development increase significantly.
“Subdivision after subdivision after subdivision that has been added since we moved here in ’85,” McKeehan reflected about the area. “It was a lone house on 19 acres of land. And in the meantime, the whole property has been developed. So I’m not fussing at developers, because we were one, but nothing has been done to improve the roads in this length of time.”…
