Three indicted on murder charge after 2024 overdose death in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A Knox County Grand Jury indicted three people on murder charges after someone overdosed on fentanyl, the Knoxville Police Department said Monday.

Devin Kilgore, 27, was found dead in a home on Woodcrest Drive in February 2024. An investigation led by KPD’s Organized Crime Unit and Drug Related Death Task Force determined that Kilgore had died from acute fentanyl intoxication, KPD said.

After investigating further, law enforcement learned Anne Miller, 50; Brandon Light, 33; and Amber Perry, 40, had supplied the drug resulting in Kilgore’s death, KPD said. A Knox County Grand Jury indicted the three on charges of murder and sale and delivery of fentanyl in October.

KPD officers found and arrested Perry on November 2, while the Knox County Sheriff’s Office caught Miller and Light on November 12…
