SEYMOUR, Tenn. (WATE) — A man is facing multiple charges after he was accused of stealing a car from a gas station in Seymour while a woman was still in the passenger seat and leading law enforcement on a pursuit that ended in a crash in late November.
Sevier County General Sessions Dockets obtained by 6 News state that Anthony Blake Bolding is charged with theft between $1,000 and $10,000, vandalism between $1,000 and $10,000, reckless endangerment, burglary and carjacking, evading arrest, assault, driving while license suspended, cancelled or revoked, and failure to maintain control – due care, stemming from the November 28 incident.
Former Anderson Co. deputy accused of trying to sell stolen crossbow
According to affidavits of complaint, deputies responded to an Exxon gas station located in the 11300 block of Chapman Highway to investigate a report of a stolen vehicle.
One of the victims told Sevier County deputies that while he was inside the gas station, a man, later identified as Bolding, got into the driver’s side of his car and took the vehicle. The told police that he ran outside to stop his car from being stolen, held onto one of the vehicle’s door handles and was dragged for about 10 feet before he fell to the ground…
