Over the course of a four-day trial, prosecutors told jurors that Rogers went to his ex-fiancée’s apartment on Western Avenue on February 24, 2023 and raped the victim. When the victim drove to Walmart the next day, Rogers followed the victim and assaulted her inside her car.
The victim was ultimately able to elude him and contact 911. Rogers was located by Knoxville police officers as he waited at the victim’s apartment.
