Local Walmart Evacuated After Bomb Threat; No Devices Found, Store Reopens

On Saturday, December 6, 2025, the Sevierville Police Department responded to a bomb threat at the Walmart at 1414 Parkway. The threat was received just before 1:00 p.m. and stated there were three bombs in the store. Police evacuated the building and searched it with help from several agencies.

No suspicious devices were found. Walmart reopened around 4:10 p.m. The Sevierville Police Department thanked the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg Police, Knoxville Police, and local emergency and fire departments for their assistance…
