Huge Deputy Swanger Health & Job Update
When Deputy Dalton Swanger was knocked out while on the job in June 2025, On Patrol: Live viewers were shocked. They could not believe how cruel people could be, but they feared for Swanger’s life. It was one of the most devastating moments, and he had no idea what had happened until much later. Ultimately, he was put into a medically induced coma due to the injuries. They included a skull fracture, brain contusion, and neck injuries, and it just kept getting worse. A GoFundMe was set up to try to help him get all that he needed, as the major procedure to help get him back on his feet was a struggle.
Deputy Swanger desperately needed this, but finding the proper hospital was anything but easy. Now, a heartwarming update has been shared, and it is looking up for him. As of December 5th, 2025, his tracheal resection surgery has been scheduled for later in the month. That means he is on the road to recovery and can see a good light at the end of the tunnel. Sadly, he has already had six surgeries and may need more prior to this major procedure. As for work, he will likely head back at the end of winter or early spring, which is beautiful to hear.
