KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Knox County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Bernie Lyon has had “minor improvements” bur remains in critical condition, KCSO said Sunday night.
On Thursday, 6 News reported that Lyon, who has been with KCSO for 46 years, was receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.

“Sheriff Tom Spangler and the Lyon family are deeply grateful for the continued prayers, support, and well wishes from our community and from law enforcement agencies across the region,” KCSO wrote Sunday night. “Your encouragement has meant more than words can express over the past several days.”
