KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A group of East Tennessee parents and organizations have filed a lawsuit seeking to eliminate the state’s school voucher program, which launched less than a year ago.
Dustin Park, a Blount County parent involved in the lawsuit, said he opposes the program because he believes it discriminates against students with disabilities, including his son who has Down syndrome.
“We can’t afford that kind of cost. Not only that, but it is going towards a system that is purposely met to leave segments out like my son,” Park said…
