Belltown community in Powell continues growth with new restaurants, businesses

POWELL, Tenn. (WATE) — Construction is underway at the Belltown community in Powell as it prepares to welcome in several local restaurants.

Smithbilt Homes broke ground on the development in 2023 and it is now home to more than 150 families. Now, the community is adding commercial spaces. Soccer Taco, Abridged Beer Company and Sugar Queen Creamery are all set to open in Belltown around March.

“We’re excited to be in Powell, I think the Powell-Karns area is definitely growing and there’s so many families out there and we’d love to add another local business, a family-friendly option out there,” Staci Meyer with Sugar Queen Creamery said.
