Authorities in Tennessee say narcotics detectives discovered more than 44 pounds of cocaine in a commercial tractor-trailer during a traffic stop over the weekend.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office said its Narcotics Unit was conducting operations on Interstate 40 over the weekend when detectives stopped a commercial tractor-trailer for speeding near the eastbound truck scales. Detectives speaking with the driver “observed indicators consistent with high-level narcotics trafficking.”
A K-9 unit was called to the scene, and the dog alerted to the presence of narcotics. A search led to the discover of more than 44 pounds of cocaine in the vehicle…
