KNOXVILLE, Tenn — A man is in the Knox County jail accused of driving under the influence, running from police and trying to destroy evidence, according to a warrant for his arrest.
Duyen Maestroiani, 54, is in charged with DUI, vandalism, drug possession, tampering with evidence, evading arrest and a slew of traffic infractions. He’s being held on a $14,500 bond.
According to a warrant for Maestroiani’s arrest, a Knoxville police officer tried to pull him over around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday near the Vistas Apartments. The warrant said he failed to stop for the emergency lights and ran a stop sign from Lula Powell turning east on Summit Hill.
