KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – For the past five years, Garza Law Firm has teamed up with CareCuts to host a Sunday Outreach event for less fortunate Knoxvillians.
The event not only offered haircuts, but hot meals, clothing, identification, housing support, mobile showers, rehabilitation referrals, job assistance and transportation for guests as well. The Remote Area Medical (RAM) mobile telehealth unit was also on-site to provide general healthcare needs on Sunday.
“I love the mission,” said Marcos Garza, owner of the Garza Law Firm. “There’s something about the dignity that comes with being able to come somewhere and be able to sit in a chair and get your hair cut and pick up a couple of mittens or a coat or a pair of shoes.”…
